It is estimated that in the UK, 1 in 210 people have Crohn’s or Colitis. Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis can start at any age, but usually starts before you’re 30. Microscopic Colitis is more common in women and usually starts after 50. Crohn’s and Colitis happens when the body’s immune system goes wrong. Usually, the immune system protects the body.
